I'm sad to report that Jack passed away April 10th of kidney failure after a week of struggle and treatment.

Jack is our gorgeous, loving and smart "bear" of a boy, and the second Skyecove dog for us. Outgoing and brave, he loves to greet everyone. He loves retrieving, getting out all the toys to show us, playing in the water hose, and watching over our chicken flock. He loves hiking, and spends some time in Nashville often with our daughter, where he enjoys being a city dog - going to parks, festivals and even restaurants. He has been training in obedience since he was small, and earned his Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Canine Good Citizen Advanced (CGCA) and CGC-Urban titles, on the way to qualifying as a therapy dog. Right after that, we will submit his AKC Trick Dog videos, as he's been working on his repertoire of tricks! He has also tried Barn Hunt and Fast CAT and loved those, so we hope to participate in those when conditions allow.

Since his debut show weekend in February 2019 when he won Best Herding Puppy at the Memphis Kennel Club, he has been enjoying showing in the confirmation ring. Right before turning a year old, he won a three-point-major going Best of Winners in Jackson, Mississippi. He has grown up a lot since then, so we're looking forward to getting back to showing when we get the all-clear!
